58,000 SF NEW PRE-ENGINEERED STEEL STRUCTURE

— COMPLETED 2015 —

BASO Inc.’s business model encompasses the development of unique luminaries that are compelling in style and sophisticated in design. Their facilities include design labs, production and assembly, as well as sales, and the company has multiple locations around the world.

Claris designed and built this ground-up facility, located in Oxford, CT, with a space designed to accommodate the company’s production and R&D teams, as well as a new showroom. The clients had certain specifications for this project, one of which was to source materials from the company’s Country of origin, Austria. Being a lighting manufacturer, they also wanted to highlight their own lighting products within the design.

With skilled carpentry done by Lindade Construction, fixtures were uniquely installed within the ceiling tiles, which had to be curved in order to match the shape, size, and design of the light. One of the big wants was a wood parquet floor sent direct from Austria;

Claris had to work directly with JR Hardwood Flooring to make sure the product would meet specific standards and comply with local codes. The biggest challenge was that the flooring was meant to be installed in a factory not an office. With high precision and effort, the final finish was achieved.
